Mount Wolseley - Country Resort Mature parkland opened in 1995, with picturesque lakes filled with wildlife and fish. Water comes into play on eleven of the 18 holes. The Bent grass greens generous in size but are strategically framed by bunkers. Fairways have good landing areas, however approach play must be accurate. Our signature holes are the par three 11th which is 207yds from the championship tees, this shot requires you to hit an accurate long iron or wood across water to a two tier green. The 18th is a fantastic finishing hole, the fairway is lined with mature oak trees, then a second shot up hill across a water hazard to a green which is overlooked by the gallery of the hotel. Kilkea Golf Club The Golf course measuring 6,100 metres off the championship tee has been developed in this magnificent setting, beneath the shadows of a Twelfth Century Castle. It allows the splendour of the Castle to be viewed from every fairway. In constructing the course, the designers have cleverly used the river Greese as a natural hazard flowing through the grounds of the Castle. You will encounter the river at almost every hole. Two lakes have also been included in the course design, adding to the overall difficulty of the challenge. Website: www.kilkeacastle.ie |

Baltinglass Colf Club Baltinglass Golf Club is located 50km south of Dublin on the N81. It was originally a nine-hole course but recently 'came of age' with the addition of a new nine holes. The striking beauty of the surrounding countryside cannot but impress a visitor to Baltinglass, the course standing on land which is also the site of the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey. Eddie Connaughton designed the new nine holes and the parkland course, which sits on the banks of the River Slaney and enjoys views of the Wicklow Mountains, is testing. Rathsallagh Golf Club Measuring 7200 yards from the Medal Tees Rathsallagh is one of the best laid out courses you could play, several lakes and small streams meander their way accross the fairways creating a USPGA feel about the design and the greens are immaculate to putt on. Or as one of our visitors commented recently - " like putting on velvet". The undulating countryside creates the perfect golf terrain which proves a great test for golfers but is fair to all.
